Poe at The Sayers Club

My friends and I got a VIP pass to watch Poe's show at The Sayers Club. This woman inspires the bejeebus out of me. I hadn't seen Poe for a year, and she asked if I'd won an Oscar yet. Recollecting the most interesting thing I'd done in the past year, I told her about Chaosmos, the board game I helped produce. I was ashamed by my response. I wish I could have told her that I directed a feature film or wrote a novel, but alas, I feel like I screwed up the past year majorly.

Chaosmos was a cool project, but it wasn't mine. I didn't do anything in 2013 that was mine. 2013 was a year of other people's projects. 2014 has been much the same way. I've got to see my personal projects through. I'm surrounded by too many inspiring artists to squander all the creative mojo on half finished projects.

Here's to speaking with my own voice again. Thanks, Poe!
